Maldon Housing Association is a small Almshouse Charity governed by a voluntary board of trustees who come from a wide range of professional backgrounds. The day-to-day running of the Association is delegated to housing support and administrative staff. The Association provides retirement accommodation at an affordable monthly cost, for people aged 60 or over who are able to live independently, offering a peaceful and secure environment in which to make their home. We own three properties in Maldon containing a total of 57 self-contained flats. All properties are situated close to the town centre and have support staff on duty between the hours of 8.30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday to Friday. In addition, welfare checks are made at weekends by our staff. An emergency alarm facility is available outside these hours and all residents are issued with a personal alarm pendant. We offer a mix of accommodation ranging from studio flats, one bedroomed single and double flats and two bedroomed flats to meet the varied needs of individuals. All flats have a comfortable lounge, fully fitted kitchen and bathroom or wetroom. Our properties feature a communal lounge, laundry room and picturesque gardens where residents can relax or engage in gardening if they so wish. Regular social activities take place which residents may attend if they choose.
