Mahasarakham University (MSU) is a public university located in the province of Maha Sarakham in the northeast (Isan) region of Thailand. Currently, the university has two main campuses, one on the outskirts of Mahasarakham province and another at Kamrieng district about 8 kilometres away on the Kalasin road. The university is expanding rapidly to meet increasing demand for higher education in this relatively underdeveloped part of rural Thailand, and there are a number of small satellite centres in locations such as Udon Thani and Yasothon.
