The Joe Foss Institute, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, was founded in 2001 by Medal of Honor Recipient, General Joe Foss, together with his wife, Didi. Our goal is to promote patriotism, public service and civic education by ensuring students graduate high school prepared to be active and engaged citizens. We invest today in educating the children who will lead our nation into the future via - 1. In-school presentations from trained Veteran presenters, 2. Scholarship contests, 3. Teacher tools and resources focusing on history and civics, 4. The Civics Education Initiative (CivicsEducationInitiative.com), an affiliate of the Joe Foss Institute.
