GGY AXIS is a software company based in Toronto, Canada, and originally formed in 1989 by David Gilliland, Phil Gold and Bill Young. In 2016 GGY AXIS was acquired by Moody's Analytics, which offers leading-edge software, advisory services and research for credit and economic analysis and financial risk management to the insurance industry around the world. Our primary business is developing, maintaining, selling and supporting AXIS, a leading actuarial software product designed for use by the life insurance industry. AXIS is a comprehensive actuarial modeling system for life insurance companies, that provides a complete and seamless integration of pricing, valuation and modeling. AXIS combines unparalleled flexibility with a user-friendly interface which is ready-to-go right out of the box; no programming skills required. Comprehensive user training and ongoing support is provided through classroom instruction, self-paced learning tools, context-sensitive help and dedicated GGY support staff. AXIS incorporates advanced technology with unique database management functionality and scaleable architecture for optimum speed, yet operates on industry standard PC's and servers, from laptops up to massive grids, including cloud based installations.
