For over forty five we have been providing a clean, safe and welcoming environment for healthcare and treatment. The site was originally a Pilkington family home. It was officially opened as a hospital by Brigadier Sir Douglas Crawford on 23rd November 1979 and admitted the first patients in January 1980. The freeholds of Fairfield and Crank House were purchased by the Hospital in 1986. All patient treatment and care takes place in purpose built accommodation which has been designed to the highest standards and incorporates the latest medical technology, quality of care and safety.
