Fairbridge creates space and opportunities for young people to grow - within themselves, within society and with the earth to bring about positive sustainable change in their lives, their families and the community. Fairbridge works with all young people including those with a disability, those struggling with life, those who are unemployed, Aboriginal young people, refugee children, even the gifted. Fairbridges focus is young people who are struggling with life caused by a broad range of life circumstances and the aim is to bring about positive sustainable change in their life. Fairbridge, a major youth charitable organisation in Western Australia, is the only charity in Australia that owns a whole nationally heritage listed town site, being Fairbridge Village. Since the launch of the redevelopment program in 1997 over 220,000 people now access the Village each year compared with 5,000 when we started. Fairbridge accommodates over 47,000 visitors overnight during the year and works with over 185 youth and community organisations from around the state. Fairbridge runs a myriad of programs and services directly and has partnership agreements with over 50 other like minded organisations where we jointly work together.
