East Tennessee PBS

Everyone in East Tennessee deserves a front row seat to the highest quality arts, educational and current events programming. That's where East Tennessee PBS comes in. Since 1967, East Tennessee PBS has been broadcasting PBS and local programming to the region, as well as hosting community events and other activities designed to improve the quality of life in our region's communities. We are a community licensed non-commercial station (not affiliated with a university or state network) and serve as a dual-market station, serving both the Knoxville, TN Designated Market Area (DMA) and the Tri-Cities, TN/VA DMA. These two DMAs represent approximately 900,000 television households. Our broadcast signal also reaches households outside these market areas in Southeast Kentucky, Southwest Virginia, southwestern North Carolina, and the Cumberland Plateau of Tennessee, providing us with a total reach of approximately 1.1 million households. In addition to PBS national programming, East Tennessee PBS also produces and broadcasts local programs such as Scholars' Bowl (30th season), Marshal Andy and the Riders of the Silver Screen (20+ seasons), Fit and Fun with Missy Kane, The Dr. Bob Show and A Fork in the Road with Chef Garrett, along with special documentaries and features.
