The Dartmouth Formula Racing Team designs and builds hybrid race cars to compete in the Formula Hybrid competition at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway every May. Dartmouth has been competing in automotive engineering design competitions since 1995, and has competed in Formula Hybrid since its inauguration in 2006. In 2018, Dartmouth won the hybrid category of the competition, receiving first place in the Design, Acceleration, Autocross, and Endurance events. The team also received the FCA Industrial Design Award, and the IEEE Engineering the Future Award.
