BASA stands for the Business Administration Students' Association. BASA was founded 13 years ago as a group project in a 4000 level Entrepreneurship class and has quickly grown to be the second largest student group on campus with over 1400 registered students and alumni. BASA goes hand in hand with The University of Winnipeg's established Faculty of Business and Economics, and continues to expand in both size and quality each year. Students from UWinnipeg also regularly interact and network with many of the other large business schools across Canada in events such as JDC West and Canadian Association of Business Students (CABS) Round Table. Essentially, BASA provides opportunities for students to expand their university experiences outside of the classroom, and gives students the chance to reach their potential through various avenues and unique skill-building events.
